US Dollar Fights Back On Strength Of Consumer Spending 30th June 2008, 08:29
The US dollar continued to gain against the yen and the euro on Friday on the strength of speculation that data released later in the weekend would show that Americans had spent more than usual in May, reported Forbes.

Fire up that Forex trading system, because it appears there will be an opportunity to make money on dollar exchanges following reports that Americans spent all or most of the $70 billion recently passed out by the Federal Reserve as part of an economic stimulus package.

The increased spending will at least temporarily stave off a feared recession in the world's biggest economy.
